Terms of Service
Last updated July 27, 2026
These terms cover your use of the Tawney & Associates website and services. By booking a consultation, purchasing a membership, or otherwise working with us, you agree to them.
Who We Are
Tawney & Associates (“We” or “Us”) is a personal technology concierge company run by Christopher Tawney, based in Nashville, Tennessee.
Our Services
We provide personal and small business technology help, including but not limited to device selection, device setup, networking, smart home setup and automation, and ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting, on an hourly basis and through monthly membership plans. We also offer website design as a separate service. What's included in each plan is described on our Services page.
Memberships & Billing
Membership plans are billed through Stripe at the start of each billing period, in advance of the period they cover, and renew automatically until cancelled. Your billing period runs from the day you subscribe — if you join on the 20th, you are billed on the 20th of each month, not on the first. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on file at the start of each billing period. Prices are shown on the Services page and are subject to change. If a change is made, We will provide notice to our members affected by the change. Changes will be effective at the next renewal after notice has been provided.
Cancelling
You can cancel your membership at any time from the client portal or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period in which you cancel. Your plan is still active through the end of that billing period.
Refunds
Memberships are not refundable for partial months. Additionally, amounts paid to satisfy an invoice are also non-refundable. If something isn't right, tell us. We will always try to make it right.
Time for Payment
Invoices are due within 30 days of receipt.
Your Responsibilities
To help us help you, you agree to give accurate information, reasonable access to the systems you've asked us to work on, and the authority to have us work on them. We'll always recommend backing up important data before major changes, but keeping current backups is ultimately your responsibility. We are not responsible for lost or stolen data.
What We Can and Can't Promise
We can promise we bring real care and expertise. However, some things are outside our control, including but not limited to third party hardware, software, and services. Our services are provided on a best effort basis. We do not provide a warranty of any particular outcome.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tawney & Associates is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from our services. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question.
Third Party Services
Some work involves products and services from other companies, including but not limited to internet service providers, device makers, and software vendors. These third party companies have their own prices, terms, and policies including data policies. We are not responsible for their prices, terms, and/or policies or for their performance.
Website & Content
The design, text, and images on this site belong to Tawney & Associates and may not be copied or reused without permission.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.
Changes to These Terms
These terms are subject to change. If We update these terms, We will change the date above. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
